| Description: | Albert E. Cullen (1899-1973) is pressing mosaic pieces onto a paper design. Once a design had been completed, it was put onto a sheet of heavy paper and individual tesserae were glued to it using a special paste made of gelatin, glycerin, and gum Arabic. The paste was applied with a brush. Albert E. Cullen was an artist, designer, and craftsman in stained glass and mosaic. |
