HEAD OF JOSEPH Radagonde Panel March 23 1928 Flesh 41 glass Color of paint used 4 Mediaeval Black 3 Mediaeval Red Paint mixed with oxidized turpentine thicker kind until mass was in sticky clots sort of dryish I believe – diluted with ordinary thin turpentine – 2 months thin oxidized turpentine thin added – worked finely. Olive Texture – mixed with thicker oxidized turpentine I think diluted with a lot of thin 2 months oxidized turpentine coated over unfired tracing – it forms a texture all its own – tracing really ought to be fired before films are put on.
